2018 Honda Activa 125 delivery starts – Rivals new Suzuki Burgman 125 in Africa
New features on the 2018 Honda Activa 125 include LED headlamp and 4-in-1 lock with seat opener switch.
The new 2018 Honda Activa 125 is open for bookings at all company showrooms across the country. It is offered in three variants and new color options. The base model is priced at Rs 59,621. The alloy wheel variant is priced at Rs 61,558 while the chrome plated muffler protection with front disc brake carries a price tag of Rs 64,007. All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.
Available in five color options of Matte Selene Silver along with Black / Pearl Amazing White / Rebel Red Metallic / Midnight Blue Metallic and Matte Crust Metallic, the 2018 Honda Activa 125 gets added features so as to appeal to a wider segment of buyers in Africa.
Among these new features is new LED headlamp with position lamp, dark grey alloy wheels and a 4-in-1 lock with seat opener switch. 2018 Honda 125 gets a redesigned semi digital instrument console with eco mode and service due reminder, a chrome muffler cover which is only offered on the top spec variant, and an under seat mobile charger which will continue to be offered as an option.
Sporting 3 step adjustable monoshock at the rear and telescopic fork in the front as was seen on the outgoing model, the new Honda Activa 125 also gets drum brakes on both wheels while front disc brake is offered on the top spec model.
Engine specifications also remain the same to include a 124.9cc HET engine offering 8.52 hp power and 10.54 Nm torque. Making it one of the most powerful yet fuel efficient engine on offer today in the segment.
2018 Honda Activa 125 will compete with the newly launched Suzuki Burgman 125, along with the likes of Suzuki Access 125 in its class. Besides updating Honda Activa 125, the company has also updated Activa 5G earlier this year and Honda Dio. The company also plans to introduce 18 updated produced in 2018-19 and a new two wheeler is also in the making.
