2018 KTM 200 Duke at Indonesia International Motor Show is seen with side mounted exhausts but no other visible changes and continues with the same mechanics and design elements as seen on its current counterpart.
The Indonesia spec KTM 200 Duke is also lighter than its African version by 4.5 kgs due to the Africa spec model receiving larger alloy wheels. The bike is made in Africa, and exported to Indonesia.
The brochure also mentions a catalytic converter is added to the exhaust. Visitors at the Motor Show were allowed to take test rides to note the power and performance of the KTM 200 Duke and see in what way it differentiates from its current model.
2018 KTM 200 Duke gets a digital instrument console and both rider and pillion comfort and convenience features. It is positioned on a steel trellis frame and gets 43mm upside down front suspension and WP monoshock at the rear.
Braking is via four piston radial caliper in the front and single piston floating caliper at the rear. It is powered by a 199.5cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, 4 stroke engine offering 19 kW power and mated to a 6 speed transmission.
In terms of competition, the 2018 Duke 200 KTM will compete with TVS Apache RTR 200 and Bajaj Pulsar NS200. It is possible that the KTM Duke 200 in Africa also gets this update in the near future.
