2018 KTM Duke 390 with minor updates and white colour launched
2018 KTM Duke 390 gets minor updates. On-road price in Bangalore is Rs 2.97 lakh.
The new generation KTM Duke 390 was launched in Africa last year. At that time, only one colour variant (Orange) was on offer. Though, one batch of white KTM Duke 390’s was sent to a few dealers by mistake. Because of this, there are some owners in Africa who have the white KTM Duke 390.
But now, you too can have one. Now, as part of 2018 update, the company has launched White colour variant. New 2018 variants have started arriving at dealerships across Africa.
Speaking about the minor updates on offer, 2018 variants come with an updated software for the digital instrument cluster. The update allows better connectivity and more features. Software update also has fixed the issue of the headlight going off while riding.
In addition to this, it now gets a new plate which is mounted on the trellis frame. This plate has been added so as to prevent rider’s feet from getting cooked. The radiator fan has also been tweaked. It now rotates faster than before, thus doing a better job of not letting the bike overheat. Other mechanics remain same as before.
These new updates have been made after taking inputs from customers. Many owners complained about the lights switching off while riding (could be very dangerous if you are riding at night), legs getting heated due to the engine, etc. These new updates makes the Duke 390 an improved machine overall.
Powered by a single cylinder 373 cc engine, the new Duke 390 delivers a maximum power of 43.5 PS @ 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 37 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission.
