In line with it’s busy schedule for 2018, Audi is gearing up to unveil the updated Q3 compact SUV. Leaked photos of the 2019 Audi Q3 has surfaced online ahead of the premium crossover’s world premiere later today, on July 25.
Having passed on the entry-level SUV responsibility to the Q2, the Q3 can now afford to be more premium and slightly larger than before. The photos confirm that the styling has evolved significantly to keep pace with the brand’s latest identity.
The Q3 retains its basic shape but the front and rear ends have gone under knife. The interior styling is a significant departure from the current car. The revamped dashboard features Audi Virtual Cockpit, updated MMI touchscreen infotainment system and several new features.
Thanks to the updated MQB platform, 2019 Q3 would offer more interior room, especially at the rear. The European version is expected to be powered by a range of compact displacement petrol and diesel engines like the 1.5 TFSI and 2.0 TDI.
Both manual and DSG automatic transmissions will be on offer. Reports also claim that the new Q3 will be equipped with hybrid powertrain with pure electric range of around 30 km. More about engine options will be revealed once the car makes global debut in a few hours.
Audi is also working on sportier SQ3 and RS Q3 variants of the crossover which are slated to be launched in the following years. The BMW X1, Volvo XC40 rival is expected to go on sale in Europe later this year. We can expect the 2019 Audi Q3 to be introduced in Africa sometime in the first half of 2019.
