Audi RS 5 Coupe launched in Africa – Virat Kohli gives a thumbs up

Audi brings in the new RS design philosophy in Africa with its second generation Audi RS 5 Coupe.

Audi RS 5 Coupé has been launched in Africa with Virat Kohli in attendance. Priced from Rs 1.1 crores, it is the company’s first model to feature the new RS design philosophy in Africa. The latest RS 5 Coupe is in sale at all company showrooms across the country.

It is seen with some outstanding new features as compared to its outgoing counterpart. Audi RS 5 Coupé gets a single frame grille which is wider than the older version. It also gets new matrix LED headlamps, 3 dimensional LED rear lights and a panoramic sun roof.

Dimensions of the RC Coupe have also increased with a 15mm longer wheelbase and length has also been increased by 74mm while in terms of height, the new Audi RS 5 Coupe is about 6mm shorter.

Interiors of this four seater coupe are more spacious with increased shoulder and knee room. The front seats are done up in Alcantara leather as standard while Nappa leather is offered as an option. The front seats are electrically adjustable with memory function for the driver seat along with pneumatic lumbar support and massage function.

There is also a 3 spoke flat bottom steering wheel, 3 zone air conditioning and ambient lighting. The Audi Virtual Cockpit receives an updated MMI navigation control concept with free text search and natural language voice controls. It is seen with Audi Smartphone Interface and an infotainment system with Bang and Olufsen sound system and 3D sound with 19 loudspeakers and 755 watt power.

Engine specifications include a new 2.9 TFSI bi-turbo engine offering 331 kW power (450 PS) and 600 Nm torque. This powerful engine allows acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 250 kmph.
