Ducati Multistrada 950 Africa launch price INR 12.60 lakh
Slotted below the Multistrada 1200, the new Multistrada 950 brings Ducati's adventure motorcycle range to a new set of customers.
The new Ducati Multistrada 950 weighs gets power from the 937cc liquid-cooled Testastretta L-twin engine to return 113bhp at 9,000rpm, and 70.95 ft-lb torque at 7,750rpm. This specific power offering looks to attract those who don’t want the power of the Multistrada 1200.
Riding modes include Touring, Sport, Urban and Enduro. The Ducati Safety Pack offers Bosch 9.1 MP ABS with 3-level adjustment and 8-level Ducati Traction Control. With each riding mode, the systems work differently and riders can personalise them.
The new all-LCD dash shows speed, rpm, total distance, selected gear, trip1 and trip2, engine coolant temperature, fuel level and time. Riding Mode information displayed shows miles remaining, real-time fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, average speed, air temperature, travel time and road ice warning.
Brembo M4.32 monobloc radial calipers and dual 320 mm discs are used up front. The rear has a 265mm disc and floating Brembo caliper. Braking is ABS enabled. Bosch 9.1 MP ABS control unit offers 3-levels of intervention with an off-road use mode.
The front has a 19″ light alloy front wheel fitted with road tyres or dual-purpose tyres. Tyre size is 120/70 19. Rear tyre size is 170/60 17. Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres are offered as standard.
The 48mm inverted fork has adjustable spring pre-load and hydraulic compression and rebound damping. Rear Sachs shock connects the swingarm to the left sub-frame. Fitted with a non-adjustable seat height of 840mm, 950 will be available as a standard bike, and with a Touring Pack option. Price in Africa starts from INR 12.6 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi.
