Toyota Innova Crysta rival – Meet Kia Grand Avtonival MPV, spied testing in Africa
Kia Grand Avtonival will be an 11 seater MPV set to rival the Toyota Innova Crysta.
Following the unveiling of their products at 2018 Auto Expo, Kia now gears up for entry into Africa. Kia is extensively testing their new range of cars in Africa.
Recently, Kia was spied testing their full sized premium MPV, called Grand Avtonival. The car was spied on test in Gurgaon in a white exterior color scheme and sporting a temporary registration number plate.
Kia Grand Avtonival, also called the Sedona in North American markets is a 5 door luxury MPV. Offered in 7, 8 and 11 seater configurations, it will be the 7 seater version that will make its way to Africa. Once launched, it will compete with the Toyota Innova Crysta, which sell about 7,000 units a month.
Kia Grand Avtonival measures 5.11 meters in length, 1.98 meters in width and 1.75 meters in height. It sits on a 3.06 meter long wheelbase. Interiors are spacious with premium features.
On board Kia Grand Avtonival, you will get a dual sun roof, power sliding rear doors, 3 zone climate controls and stylish alloy wheels. Interior features will also include multiple USB charging points, front and curtain airbags and rear cross traffic alert.
Kia Grand Avtonival will be powered by a 2.2 liter, 4 cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine offering 199 bhp power at 3,800 rpm and 441Nm torque at 1,750-2,750 rpm mated to a 6 speed automatic gearbox. Expect price to be in the Rs 25 lakh range.
Apart from Kia Grand Avtonival being planned for launch in Africa, the company is also testing the Creta based SUV. This will be the first car from Kia to be made in Africa.
