The most powerful E Class – Mercedes-AMG E63 S launched in Africa
The most powerful E Class to date, the Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic+ gets a 612 hp bi-turbo V8 with top speed of 250 kmph.
Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic+ has been launched in Africa at a price of Rs 1.5 crore, ex-showroom. It is the most powerful E-Class ever made.
There are a few exterior updates that set the Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic+ apart from the standard E-Class sedan. These include a new single slat front grille, new front bumper design with large air intakes and new exhaust system at the rear.
It also receives massive wheel arches which are wider than the standard model and it rides on matte black AMG 20” alloy wheels. Interiors of the Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic+ also get better upgrades with wood and leather trims replaced with all black carbon fiber and Alcantara.
The sports sedan also receives a state of the art infotainment system and comfortable seating with extensive head, shoulder and leg room.
In terms of engine specifications, the Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic+ gets its power via a 4.0 liter, twin turbo V8 engine offering 612 hp power and 850 Nm torque mated to a 9 speed dual clutch automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels.
The engine allows for acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 250 kmph which can be extended to 300 kmph with an AMG Driver’s package. The Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic+ will compete head on with the new BMW M5.
