New spyshots of the fully camouflaged new Bajaj bike test mule have emerged online, revealing more design details. The new model which is likely to slot between the Discover and Pulsar to address a whole new two wheeler sub-segment is most likely to come in more than one engine displacement.
In terms of styling, the prototype still continues to test with pre-production body components borrowed from the Pulsar such as the instrument console and bikini fairing. However, the fuel tank, low-slung seat, tailpiece, silencer and rest of the items appear to be production ready.
The overall stance of the new Bajaj bike is higher than the new Avenger but certainly lower than the Pulsar or Discover. Thick rear tyres, alloy wheels and a sturdy suspension system indicates that the new brand from the Pune-based manufacturer is not gonna be a built-to-cost commuter but an executive bike/premium commuter which follows a unique styling approach.
Not much about the powertrain is known as of now but this particular prototype appears to be bearing a 150 cc heart. Likely to be mated to a 5-speed transmission, the powerplant would be tuned for fuel economy rather than outright performance.
