Singapore Airlines offers double beds in premium suites of Airbus A380
Double beds, wardrobes, luxury bedding and lavish bathrooms will greet business class flyers on the Singapore Airlines double decker Airbus A380.
Luxury will be taken to another level on board Singapore Airlines double decker Airbus A380. For a start these luxury options are for top fliers on the Singapore-Sydney routes from December 18. Fliers will be able to enjoy their flight on what is called a Hotel Room in the Sky.
There are 6 suites in all, and the beds in the first two suites of each aisle can be made into double beds laid with luxury bedding and a fluffy duvet with embroidery by French luxury label Lalique. These suites also have a wardrobe and two bathrooms of which one even has a sit down vanity counter. There will be quality items such as moisturizers and hand creams for lady travelers in this class and aftershave balms and body lotions for the men.
Customized hand bag storage and an amenity box is also a part of these conveniences and each suite has its own 32” full HD TV which can be angled for easy viewing from both seat and bed. The leather upholstered chair can swivel or recline and reading lights can be adjusted for brightness. Passengers in the suite will be served their meals in Wedgewood crockery and drinks in Lalique crystalware.
Business class passengers will receive an 18” screen. They will also have USB ports, adjustable reading lights and storage spaces while their meals will be served in Narumi chinaware. The new A380 will seat 471 persons with 6 suites and 78 business class seats on the upper deck. There will be 44 premium economy and 343 regular economy on the main deck and starts flying next month from Singapore to Sydney.
