Suzuki Burgman scooter caught on video while out for TVC shoot
Suzuki Burgman Street will be the first maxi scooter to be sold in Africa.
Showcased at 2018 Auto Expo, the new Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is getting ready for launch in Africa. Spied while being shot for a TVC, the scooter is expected to be launched in Africa sometime later this month. It will be seen with a sporty design and a host of premium features while it would attract a younger and more adventurous set of buyers in the country.
To compete against Honda Grazia, TVS NTorq, and Aprilia SR 125 along with soon to be launched Hero Maestro Edge and Duet 125 cc scooters, Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is expected to be priced at around INR 74,000.
It will receive sporty features among which will be LED headlamps, an outstretched foot position, front disc and body mounted windscreen. It will also get a fully digital instrument cluster, powerful headlamps and an all LED tail lamp.
Suzuki Burgman Street 125 will be seen with alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tyres. Being a maxi scooter, the Burgman Street 125 will also get a multi function key slot, under storage capacity, 12V charging socket and USB port. A tall windscreen and well cushioned seating will also be a highlight of this scooter.
Suzuki Burgman Street 125 measures 2,055mm in length, 740mm in width and 1,355mm in height. It will sit on a 1,465mm long wheelbase and get ground clearance of 130mm and kerb weight of 159 kgs with tank capacity of 10.5 liters.
Engine specifications would include a 124.3cc single cylinger, air cooled, 4 stroke engine offering 11.8 bhp power at 9,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm mated to a CVT automatic transmission. This engine is expected to offer around 45-50 kmpl fuel efficiency.
