TVS Apache 200 powered by Ethanol showcased at 2018 Auto Expo
The distinctive green colored sticker on the TVS Apache 200 FI fuel tank indicates Ethanol.
TVS has showcased a large number of vehicles at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo. Their stall is also one of the biggest in the two wheeler segment. Apart from showcasing their entire range, they have also showcased new concepts and their enduro racing machines, they have also showcased a Ethanol powered by Apache 200.
It sports vibrant green graphics on its tank indicating that it runs on Ethanol and the two wheeler company has stated that the bike can be ready for production if government regulations so demand and if there is a market demand for these ethanol powered bikes in the country.
TVS Apache RTR 200 FI ethanol is powered by an E85 engine that offers 21 SP peak power at 8,500 rpm and 18.1 Nm torque at 7,000 rpm. Top speed stands at 129 kmph. It gets Twin Spray Twin Port EFI technology that ensures better drivability, faster throttle response and significantly lower emission levels.
Ethanol is an alternative greener fuel that is produced from renewable plant sources that contains 35% oxygen and emits lower NOx, carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide. The fuel is also safe to handle, store and transport.
Further details on the official launch in Africa and expected price of the TVS Apache RTR 200 FI are not yet revealed.
