Unsold stock of 2017 Mahindra XUV500 offered at Rs 1.6 lakh discount
Pre-facelift Mahindra XUV500 is being offered at Rs 1.33 lakh cash discount and Rs 25,000 exchange bonus.
As the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 gained entry into the country earlier this year, dealers are eager to sell-off unsold stock of pre-facelift models and are hence offering the same with a heavy discount. Discounts on the 2017 XUV500 are to the tune of Rs 1.6 lakhs which includes an Rs 1.33 lakh cash discount and exchange bonus of Rs 25,000. This is more than 10% of the ex-showroom price of the Mahindra XUV500.
This comes as very good deal for those who are planning to buy the car. The new XUV500 is priced from Rs 12.42 lakhs, while the old XUV500 was priced from Rs 11.99 lakhs. With the discounts now on offer, price of old XUV500 has come down to Rs 10.4 lakhs, ex-showroom.
The pre-facelift XUV500 is powered by a 2.2 liter mHawk turbocharged diesel engine offering 140 bhp peak power and 330 Nm peak torque mated to a 6 speed manual and automatic gearbox. It is a 7 seater crossover SUV both front wheel and rear wheel drive options.
It is also powered by a 2.2 liter mHawk petrol engine capable of 140 bhp power and 320 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission but only offered in a front wheel drive layout. Both petrol and diesel engines are on offer, depending on the stock available with dealer.
Speaking about the new XUV500 facelift – it comes with better styling, updated features and more efficient engine. Post the launch of new XUV500, sales for Mahindra have increased, even better than rival Jeep Compass.
The new XUV500 is priced from INR 12.32 lakhs going up to INR 17.88 lakhs and offered in 5 diesel and a single petrol variant. The facelift XUV500 is powered by 2.2 liter, four cylinder mHawk petrol and diesel engine. The diesel engine gets electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger offering 153 bhp power at 3,750 rpm and 360 Nm torque at 1,750-2,800 rpm. The petrol engine is capable of 138 bhp power at 4,500 rpm and 320 Nm torque at 2,000-3,000 rpm mated to 6 speed manual gearbox and an Aisin 6 speed automatic transmission.
